Located in Las Vegas, Nevada, Studio DMI is owned by 5x Grammy Nominee, Luca Pretolesi who has worked with such artists as Steve Aoki, Diplo, Major Lazer, Skrillex, among others. The 4,000 square foot complex consists of three (3) studios, a recording room, lounge, conference room and office space. This state-of-the-art facility opened in 2019. When the decision was made in 2021 to convert Studio D to be a Dolby Atmos mix room, Studio DMI turned to Haverstick Designs to assist with the redesign efforts. Custom bass trapping was designed integrating the existing treatment from Vicoustic to improve the low frequency performance of the room. Elements were added to properly position the 7.1.4 Focal speaker system to meet Dolby standards.
