Haverstick Designs had the incredible opportunity to be involved with the construction of this beautiful church in the early stages of the design. We worked hand in hand with RATIO Architects to make adjustments to the original plan in order to solve acoustical issues before they happened. This approach allowed us to tailor the sound of the space to best suit the church’s goals and worship style. By changing planned surface materials and wall/ceiling angles we were able to create a space that has excellent speech intelligibility while still having the liveliness necessary for their prominent musical pieces. This project demonstrates the benefits of involving an acoustical consultant in the beginning of a project as many of the recommendations could not have been implemented after construction was completed.
